Fly Me There
It’s been four months since I released my album, my people are… In that time, it’s been featured in all sorts of publications, playlists, and podcasts, like A Humming Heart, Maed In India, Artist Directory, The Indie Order, Indie Tune, and others. In case you haven’t heard it and would like to, here’s a link. Since then, my time has gone towards becoming an independent consultant and growing Stranger Fiction. And, as always, towards making new music.
This demo, tentatively titled Fly Me There, is the first peek into the music I’ve been making. It’s brisker than the music on my people are… This is a 120 bpm minimal house and techno inspired electronic exploration. Apart from various subgenres of electronic music, you will also find the obvious influence of Indian folk and classical music, which has only grown since my people are… That mysterious wailing instrument you hear on the song is a Nadaswaram. A better-hidden source of inspiration is nineties nu-metal à la Korn, and the genre’s angular approach to bass progressions.
